light-inducible antibiotic resistance toolkit
Multi-Component SwitchThe light-inducible antibiotic resistance toolkit is an optogenetic multi-component switch in Escherichia coli that uses light-inducible Cre recombinase to activate antibiotic resistance gene expression. It confers blue-light-dependent survival under otherwise lethal antibiotic treatment and has been demonstrated for carbenicillin, kanamycin, chloramphenicol, and tetracycline resistance.
