optogenetically driven exocyst-mediated vesicle tethering
Engineering MethodOptogenetically driven exocyst-mediated vesicle tethering is a light-controlled perturbation method that acutely promotes exocytosis by driving exocyst-dependent vesicle tethering. In epithelial cells, this manipulation is linked to increased plasma membrane PI(3,4,5)P3 and activation of the EGFR/PI-3K/AKT pathway.
